A new, fast casual dining restaurant has plans to open a location inside the Village at Chapel Hill shopping center in Douglasville. Jason’s Deli is considered one of the most popular delicatessen restaurant chains in the country.

The new restaurant is set to be constructed in a space in front of LA Fitness. A spokesperson from Jason’s Deli says the company is working to finalize site plans now and will submit official permits in mid-September.

The Jason’s Deli menu is considered a delicatessen selection, meaning the restaurant serves mostly cold cuts, cheeses, and salads. The Texas-based chain was originally founded in 1976 and has since grown to nearly 300 restaurant locations in 28 different states.

The menu consists of standard deli offerings that include sandwiches, Po’boys, and much more. Jason’s Deli also serves a salad bar and daily soup selections. The company touts its health-focused menu and fresh ingredients.

Jason’s Deli has several restaurant locations throughout the Atlanta-metropolitan area. The Douglasville location will be the first Jason’s Deli restaurant in the west Georgia area.

“We anticipate starting work in November with a projected March/April 2019 opening,” said Brandy Butler, spokesperson. “We are excited to join the Douglasville community!”
