Sunset Hills Country Club will be hosting a fake wedding and reception where wedding vendors can showcase their work for newly engaged couples and their families. This “Fabulous Fake Wedding” event will feature everything involved in a wedding, except a newlywed couple. This event is for people to get a feel for the catering, music, activities, photographs, and much more that happens at a wedding. The event will be held on March 16, starting at 2:00 p.m. Local wedding planners and boutiques will show off their products to give prospective customers a chance to see what their wedding would look like.

Sunset Hills will cater the event, just like they would if a wedding and reception were to be held there. The Fabulous Fake Wedding will have four different wedding planners from across the Metro area, each with a section of the reception area they will decorate to represent their style. Two live DJ’s–Dj Blue and Just in Time Dj and Events–will be performing throughout the night near the dance floor. Attire is being provided by local shops in Carrollton; Downtown Gowns is supplying the dresses, while Squire Shop will provide the tuxedos. Mountain Oak Florist will be providing the flowers, Weddings for You Vintage Rentals will provide all the rental equipment for the Garden Area where the actual ceremony is held, and Enewbern Photography will be taking photos.
The Fabulous Fake Wedding covers all aspects of a wedding ceremony and reception to ease the stress of engaged couples’ trying to plan a wedding. Even the desserts. Pastry Chef Kristy Lee will provide the cake, because what’s a proper wedding without wedding cake?
Tickets are available to purchase for $25, which includes the reception, hors d’oeuvres , a (non-alcoholic) signature drink and swag bag full of wedding goodies, and all the information couples will need to plan their dream wedding and have a little fun. The swag bag will include special promotions and deals with some of the vendors at the event.

There will also be a cash bar and reception tours from 4:00-6:00 p.m. This is a one-of-a-kind event to bring people together and help them plan their special day.
