Carroll County School System is pleased to announce that the district ranks among the top in the state based on academic performance. SchoolDigger, ranked Carroll County School System in the Top 19% of districts in Georgia and one of the best school systems in the West Georgia area.

Ten (10) Carroll County schools earned a four-star rating. Highlights include:
- Elementary School Rankings – Ithica top 12%, Whitesburg top 12%, Roopville top 13%, Central top 24%, Bowdon top 29%
- Middle School Rankings – Central top 15%, Bowdon top 27%, Bay Springs top 28%
- High School Rankings – Central top 26%, Temple top 30%
