Previously the building at the corner of Sullivan Road and Highway 34 in Newnan was United Community Bank, and now United Bank is set to open in this location. Direct mailers about the new bank were sent to residents of Newnan and Coweta County last week. An opening is expected this month as interior renovations should wrap up soon.
In other banking news in Coweta County, the former Fidelity Banks have successfully converted to Ameris Bank, which is based in Moultrie, Georgia. Signs were recently unveiled at the Ashley Park branch along with the branch near Hollz Parkway. Do not worry, though: The lion did not go anywhere.
