Central High School Named AP Expansion School

Central High School was named an Advanced Placement (AP) Expansion School by the Georgia Department of Education. As one of 34 schools in the state of Georgia to earn this distinction, Central High School has continued to offer students rigorous curriculum opportunities in the areas of Advanced Placement courses. AP schools with 25% growth in AP participation from May 2018 to May 2019 and a minimum of 25 students testing in May 2018 qualify as AP Expansion Schools.

Principal Mr. Jared Griffis said, “Earning Advanced Placement distinction is a tremendous accomplishment. Central High School is diligently striving to provide premier opportunities and instruction for our students, which allows our AP students to compete with the state and the nation’s best. I could not be prouder of our AP students and AP teachers who made these honors possible. It is a great time to be a Central Lion.”
