The words and wit of a radio legend will be brought to life at the Carrollton Center for the Arts, as Garrison Keillor and special guests Robin and Linda Williams, perform January 28.
This show was rescheduled from November and is already a sell-out.
“We are proud to bring Garrison Keillor to Carrollton,” said Arts Superintendent Tim Chapman. “He was such an inspiration to so many people while on National Public Radio with Prairie Home Companion. His literary works are sought-after by all types of readers, but for me, it is his compelling yet comforting voice that has made him so successful.”
Garrison Keillor is an American author, storyteller, humorist, voice actor and radio legend, best known as the creator of Minnesota Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion, which he hosted for 40 years. In his retirement, he’s written a memoir and a book of limericks, is working on a musical and a screenplay and continues to send out The Writer’s Almanac daily to Internet subscribers.
Keillor will attend a luncheon, January 27, at the Center for the Arts at noon. This rare opportunity to lunch and learn from a literary legend is also sold out. Horton’s Books and Gifts will be present to sell recent and past novels.
This performance is sponsored by Moe’s Southwest Grill of Carrollton and Zach and Kelly Steed. The luncheon is sponsored by Garrett Robinson Investments.
