Villa Rica Welcomes Solid Ground Apparel

The city of Villa Rica is preparing to have a new boutique on the block. Solid Ground Apparel will open its doors this weekend, March 9, with a grand opening beginning at 10:00 A.M. Owner Emily Brewster is a first-time business owner, who shared that 2023 was “an extremely difficult year” for herself and her family. “I felt lost and defeated,” Brewster said. She recalled spending many nights scrolling through Pinterest and creating Pinterest boards for everything. During that time, she stumbled across many boutiques that she liked and knew she would love to have her own store.

“I presented my idea to my husband thinking it would stop there. I was just dreaming,” Brewster said. After this, she expressed how kind, helpful, and encouraging her husband has been throughout the process of establishing a boutique.

The name “Solid Ground” is from the song “I Thank God.” Brewster quoted the lyrics from the song stating the part that stood out to her, ““He picked me up, he turned me around, he set my feet on solid ground. He healed my heart, he changed my name, forever free, I am not the same. I thank the master, I thank the savior, I thank God.”

She concluded that although 2023 was difficult, she was able to accomplish her goal with faith. “I am thrilled to be able to serve my hometown community on this journey,” Brewster said. Solid Ground Apparel will carry men and women’s clothing and some youth sizes for boys, in addition to shoes and accessories. They will have a variety of sizes hoping to accommodate everyone. The boutique is located at 105 W. Wilson Street, Villa Rica. The store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M., closed Sunday and Monday. They can be reached on Facebook or Instagram and have a website in the works.
