New Discount Retail Store Opens in Carrollton

A new discount retail store, Discount City, has opened in Carrollton with the goal of providing affordable products to the community. The store is locally owned and operated. Discount City obtains liquidated inventory, overstock, and returned items from major retailers to offer brand- named goods at low prices. The team saw a need for a store where people could find everyday essentials and name brands without breaking the bank and decided to start their business. In the first few months, Discount City has focused on stocking household items, toys, cleaning supplies, furniture, and some electronics from brands like Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart. The owners are working to expand their product categories and bring in more makeup, hair products, and electronics through wholesaler partnerships.

Discount City prides itself on cleanliness and organization so customers can easily find what they need. The team at Discount City inspects incoming inventory to ensure accurate pricing that is appropriate for the local market. They also actively monitor the store floor to maintain order. The owners have plans to open additional Discount City locations in other west Georgia cities that could benefit from more affordable shopping options. The Carrollton-based store invites the community to check their Facebook page for daily updates on new inventory and special deals. Discount City is committed to giving back to Carrollton and aims to be a one-stop shop comparable to a mini Walmart.

Stop by Discount City at 497 B Bankhead Highway to discover quality name brand bargains that won’t break the bank. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
