West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is pleased to announce that Lucinda Montgomery has been named the new Dean for the School of Trade and Technology. Montgomery previously served as the Associate Dean of Trade and Technology at WGTC.
“Lucinda brings a wide breadth of experience and a commitment to excellence to our School of Trade and Technology,” said Kristen Buoy, Vice President of Academic Affairs. “I am excited to work with her and look forward to the positive impact her leadership will bring.”
Before joining WGTC, Montgomery was an Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Georgia Highlands College. There, she designed, developed, and taught courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration pathway. As a Quality Matters peer reviewer, she played an integral role in certifying courses for accessibility for online learners.
Montgomery is an Air Force Veteran who started her career in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in 2000. She holds a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Georgia State University.
“I am honored to step into this new role and continue my journey with West Georgia Technical College,” said Montgomery. “I look forward to collaborating with our faculty and staff to enhance our programs and provide more opportunities for our students.”
