Ephemeral Echoes! – an exhibition opening at the Carrollton Center for the Arts August 8 – features the work of emerging student artists from University of West Georgia.
“The exhibit showcases the fascinations and stories of a diverse group,” said Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “Themes include portraiture, nature overtaking abandoned spaces, personal growth and creativity, relationships around love, honoring motherhood and the morality of westerns.”
The artists included in Ephemeral Echoes! won the 2024 juried student exhibition at UWG: Shannon Barker, Megan Flowers, Joseph Godley, Jakiya McKinney, Eve Olsen and Ren Sibley.
The exhibition runs through September 19. A free public reception in honor of the show will be held at the center August 22, 5 – 7pm..
