Sewell Mill Community Center Announces Establishment of Sewell Mill Foundation

The Sewell Mill Community Center is pleased to announce the establishment of the Sewell Mill Foundation for service to the West Georgia community. Located in the center of downtown Bremen, and for the last 10 years, the Sewell Mill Community Center has been a non-profit, multi-purpose facility whose mission is to support the economic, social and historical development of the West Georgia region.

The Sewell Mill Foundation and its primary sponsor board members will initiate their Compassion in Action program beginning this holiday season at Sewell Mill’s Christmas open house December 7th.  Their focus in 2025 will be to support other philanthropic organizations to reach their monetary and directional goals of helping those in need. In addition, the Sewell Mill Community Center will become a centerpiece for educational development and encouragement for individuals and businesses who might have interest in learning more about the COMPASSION IN ACTION” program. 

There are five esteemed board members who have graciously accepted the responsibility to lead the Sewell Mill Foundation. First, Marcy Heath, CEO of Inoventive Benefits Consulting and Insurance Solutions of the South, will serve as chairperson for the Sewell Mill Foundation Board. Mrs. Heath is a nationally recognized leader in the healthcare space with over 27 years of experience. As a lifelong resident of West Georgia and armed with an extensive background in community relations and philanthropic experience, Mrs. Heath is poised to make an immediate impact on the Board. “It is truly an honor to serve as chairperson of the Sewell Mill Foundation and I look forward to working collaboratively with other board members for the good of our community,” commented Mrs. Heath.

Keith and Brooke Redding with R. K. Redding Construction have joined the Board. R. K. Redding Construction boasts over 30 years of building construction experience and lives by the motto “building community by building a business.” Their success has enabled the company to grow client relationships, nuture employees’ careers and serve the community. “The success we have achieved has enabled RKR to serve the West Georgia Community in many philanthropic ways, and we are dedicated to continuing to have a positive impact through our shared success. It is for this reason we are more than happy to be a sponsor of Compassion with Action. We look forward to the many benefits this great cause will provide for the people of our West Georgia Community,” said Keith Redding.
