City of LaGrange Employee Major Andree Robinson Honored for 40 Years of Service

The City of LaGrange is honoring LaGrange Police Department Major Andree Robinson for her dedicated 40 years of service.

Major Robinson moved to LaGrange from Washington D.C. in Fall of 1981 to  attend college and during her studies took an internship with the LaGrange Police  Department. After graduation, Robinson officially joined the LaGrange Police  Department in August 1984.

During her time with the police department, Major Robinson served as a patrol  officer, a detective, and a shift sergeant. In 2001, she transferred to the records section where her leadership and organizational skills led to her promotion to  Lieutenant and Captain as supervisor of records and administration. She was then  promoted to Major in May of 2023.

“Major Robinson continues to serve our department and our community with excellence and professionalism,” said Chief Garrett Fiveash. “We are proud of her work ethic, representation of our profession, and most of all, her friendship. We  wish to express our deepest and most heartfelt appreciation for Major Andree  Robinson’s 40 years of service.”
