Plaza Home Care is a home medical equipment company in Villa Rica, owned and operated by college sweethearts Andy and Melissa Hill. While the two attended the University of West Georgia in the early 2000s, Andy began working at what once was Plaza Discount Pharmacy and Home Care, and in 2012, The Hill family took over the business, maintaining the home equipment operations.
Melissa’s journey with Crohn’s disease gives The Hills unique insight into their customers’ needs, “Even being in the business for years and providing the equipment to customers, you truly don’t understand it until you’re on the other side of it. Not only do we sell the product, we use the product.” Both Andy and Melissa are passionate about centering their business on helping others.
Plaza Home Care offers a variety of equipment such as lift chair recliners, portable oxygen, cpap machines, medical beds, bathroom aids, mobility items such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, powered scooters and wheelchairs, and more.
Rentals are also available, which is an important element to the business, “Someone who traveled into town and needs a wheelchair just for the weekend? We can help with that…. The biggest thing that sets us apart is that we want to be service-based, focused on customer’s needs and finding solutions to their problems no matter how big or small.”
