Fast-food giant Wendy’s could soon be adding another location in Coweta County, with plans for a new restaurant near the Arbor Springs community now under review by Coweta County community development. Surveying activity was spotted on the property adjacent to US Highway 29 just before Christmas, hinting at potential development in this growing area of northern Newnan.
The project’s preliminary plans, currently being reviewed by the city of Newnan, signal further commercial growth along the US 29 corridor, where residential and retail expansion has steadily increased over the last several years. If the construction is approved, this would mark another convenient dining option for local residents, commuters, and travelers passing through the area.
The proposed Wendy’s site near Arbor Springs Parkway offers a strategic location with excellent visibility and easy access from US 29. This stretch of highway serves as a key connection between Newnan and areas further north such as Palmetto & Fairburn, making it a prime spot for new retail and dining establishments.
Surveying crews were seen at the proposed construction site in December, sparking speculation about the potential development. While official announcements have yet to be made, these early signs of activity often indicate that site assessments and pre-construction planning are underway.
