The City of LaGrange is hosting the ‘Ride for Willie T. and Car Show’ on Saturday, April 12th, in the AMC Classic LaGrange 10 Movie Theatre, 201 Main Street parking lot.
This event will begin with a car show at 10:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. At that time, there will be a short awards ceremony. Following the ceremony, all vehicles are invited to participate in the “Ride for Willie T” processional to Antioch, the late Mayor Willie T. Edmondson’s hometown.
City Councilman Quay Boddie created this event to honor the memory of the late Willie T. Edmondson. “Edmondson was a mentor to me, and I always looked up to him. I know he loved cars and thought this was a good way to bring the community together, keep his legacy alive, and raise money for his scholarship fund.”
