Four CHS Seniors Recognized at Academic Signing Day

Four Carrollton High School seniors were recognized on May 6 at Military, Academic, and Educator Signing Day to celebrate their accomplishments for receiving significant academic scholarships to their respective schools.

Tylde Alexander received multiple scholarships to Troy University totaling $120,000; Grady Bush received the Out-of-State Presidential Elite Scholarship to the University of Alabama at Birmingham worth $114,500; Vito Cappiello received the Odyssey Scholarship from the University of Chicago covering $372,000; and Presley Mashburn received Jacksonville University’s Academic Scholarship totaling $147,348.

CHS Principal Ian Lyle congratulated the students on their accomplishments.

“I am proud of these students for pursuing their academic goals and receiving substantial scholarship funds to support their educational pursuits,” said Lyle. “Each has worked hard throughout their time at Carrollton High School, and we look forward to celebrating their continued success.”
