Carroll County Schools announced valedictorians and salutatorians today from all five high schools and honored them with a recognition ceremony. Central High School alumnus and physician Dr. Scott Griffin provided the keynote address.
“These are the best and brightest graduates of Carroll County Schools, and we honor their academic success because it reflects their individual pursuit of excellence,” Superintendent Scott Cowart said. “We are proud of these students for working hard and achieving this milestone, but we know this is just the beginning for them. They are ready for the future, and we look forward to seeing their continued success.”
Valedictorians

Destiny Grace Richardson is this year’s valedictorian from Bowdon High School. Richardson will be attending Amherst College to major in psychology.

Emily Caroline Dutton is this year’s valedictorian from Central High School. Dutton will be attending the Georgia Institute of Technology and plans to major in business administration and pre-law.

Hannah Lily Green is this year’s valedictorian from Mount Zion High School. Green will be attending the University of Georgia and majoring in graphic design.

Sarah Faith Green is this year’s valedictorian from Temple High School. Green will be attending Piedmont University to major in nursing.

Ava Madeline Smith is this year’s valedictorian from Villa Rica High School. Smith will be attending Clemson University and majoring in environmental resource management.
Salutatorians

Allyson Michelle Bowen is this year’s salutatorian from Bowdon High School. Bowen will be attending Rhodes College and majoring in physics.

Mary Lois Griffis is this year’s salutatorian from Central High School. Griffis will be attending Samford University and majoring in pre-pharmacy.

Caleb Ryan Rivers is this year’s salutatorian from Mount Zion High School. Rivers will be attending Kennesaw State University to major in engineering.

Ansleigh Brooke Garrett is this year’s salutatorian from Temple High School this year. Garrett will be attending the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in psychology and pre-med.

Aeddon Sresthadatta is this year’s salutatorian from Villa Rica High School. Sresthadatta will be attending the University of Georgia to study theoretical physics.
“In Carroll County Schools we are committed to nationally competitive students and commend these students for exceeding academically,” Associate Superintendent of School Performance Dr. Jessica Ainsworth said. “Through Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, world languages and numerous diploma distinctions, our 2025 graduates are prepared for global engagement and we are excited as they continue their educational journey.”
