Carrollton is about to get a whole lot cooler—and a little more scaly—thanks to the grand opening of West GA Exotic Pets, located at 487 Columbia Drive, Carrollton, GA 30117, right at the four-way red light.
For owner and lifelong reptile enthusiast, John Minter; opening this store is more than just a business venture—it’s the realization of a lifelong dream.
“I’ve always loved and had reptiles of all different species,” the John shares. “It’s always been my dream to own an exotic pet store, where I could work with these amazing creatures every day.”
And now, that dream is becoming reality.
This Thursday marks a special “pre-opening day,” which means West GA Exotic will officially open its doors and stay open daily from then on! Guests are invited to come out, meet the animals, and even take home a new reptilian family member. Whether you’re a seasoned exotic pet owner or just curious about the hobby, there’s something for everyone.
The shop will have a variety of reptiles available, along with live and frozen feeders—from crickets to mealworms to super worms. While full supply shipments are still on the way (a common struggle in the exotic pet world), that’s not stopping this passionate team from welcoming the community in.
In the meantime, every pet purchase comes with free food, including for snakes! And if you’re adopting a smaller species, you’ll even have the option to take it home in a gently used tank for just 10 dollars extra—talk about a warm welcome for you and your new pet.
John has a heartfelt message for the community:
