Carrollton has lost another dining option as Dyson’s Seafood has closed its Bankhead Highway location. The restaurant is currently listed as “temporarily closed” on Google, but owner confirmed the closure is permanent—though not the end of his presence in the area.
In an interview, Dyson revealed that while the Dyson’s Seafood chapter has ended, something new is on the horizon for the same space. “It’ll be another name, another concept,” he said, though he remained tight-lipped on specifics. He is currently reworking the lease and hopes to share an official announcement soon.
The closure follows the recent shutdown of Pizza Hut in the same corridor, marking yet another change for the stretch of Bankhead Highway that once housed a Burger King. While Dyson’s hadn’t been open for an exceptionally long time, it had developed a loyal following for its fried seafood offerings & entertainment. The restaurant closed quietly a few days ago.
Dyson’s next move joins a wave of reshuffling in Carrollton’s dining scene. Just a few months ago, some of his close friends took over Leopoldo’s on the Square, breathing new life into the Italian eatery.
No information has been released yet about potential new tenants for the former Pizza Hut space, though rumors are circulating. More details on that are expected soon.
