Douglasville Hooters Closes Its Doors After Decades of Service: Part of Nationwide Restructuring

The Hooters in Douglasville at 6855 Douglas Blvd has officially closed after being around for what feels like forever. It was part of a bigger shutdown—over 30 company-owned Hooters across the country—due to the company’s bankruptcy restructuring.

In a statement to USA Today, Hooters called it a “difficult decision” and didn’t say when employees were told. Still, the news came as a surprise to a lot of regulars.

It’s definitely the end of an era for Douglasville. That spot was a go-to for wings, sports, and hangouts over the years.

If you’re still craving Hooters, the Newnan location on Bullsboro Drive is still open for now. No word yet on what’s going into the old Douglas Blvd location, but with how busy that area is, something’s bound to pop up soon.
