The City of Bowdon is gearing up to host its 44th Annual Founders Day celebration on Saturday, August 2, 2025. This cherished community tradition, presented by Bowdon Main Street and the Bowdon Historical Society, promises a full day of fun, festivities, and hometown pride.
The day kicks off bright and early with the popular 5K Run at 7:30 a.m., drawing runners of all ages to hit the pavement in a spirited race through town. Spectators can then line the streets for the much-anticipated Founders Day Parade at 10:00 a.m., a crowd favorite featuring colorful floats, local organizations, and classic cars.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of vendors, delicious food, and live entertainment that celebrates Bowdon’s rich heritage and vibrant community spirit.
As the sun sets, the festivities culminate in a dazzling fireworks show starting at 7:30 p.m. and continuing into the night—an unforgettable grand finale for families and guests of all ages.
