Changes are coming to the Love’s Travel Plaza located at the corner of GA 54 and Bass Cross Road in Hogansville. The well-known stop for motorists and truck drivers is preparing for an extensive remodel aimed at improving both the functionality and comfort of the facility.
Renovation plans outline upgrades to nearly every area of the property. Inside, the sales floor and drink center will be overhauled, while both the men’s and women’s restrooms are set to be fully remodeled. Additional updates will touch the shower areas, halls, and janitorial spaces, all part of a broader effort to modernize the building’s interior.
One of the standout improvements is a full remodel of the Arby’s dining and serving areas, complemented by a newly added fresh kitchen to enhance food service capabilities. Arby’s will also see expanded storage, cooling, and freezer space to better handle high demand. Maybe they will just keep the old Arby’s sign during the renovations.

Behind the scenes, the store’s merchandiser coolers and backstock areas are being expanded, and a new hot water tank system will be added. A redesigned observation area is also in the works, alongside a reimagined cashier and fuel desk area that promises better flow and efficiency.
In a nod to convenience for those spending extended time at the location, a new customer laundry and storage area will be added. The renovations also call for the conversion of storage space into an IT closet, reflecting a push to improve infrastructure and support services.
Outside, visitors can expect a full refresh of the exterior finish and updated signage at both the car and truck fuel canopies. Cooler and freezer systems will also be updated, ensuring that the store remains well-equipped to serve its wide range of patrons.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with efforts likely phased to minimize disruption to customers during the transition. Once complete, the newly renovated Love’s Travel Plaza promises a cleaner, more comfortable, and more efficient stop for anyone passing through Hogansville.
