The Community Foundation of West Georgia is pleased to announce that its application to Honda’s 2025–2026 Funding Cycle has been approved, awarding the Foundation $25,000 in support of The Connector, a platform designed to connect community needs with available resources.
This is the second grant the Foundation has received from Honda in support of The Connector. The additional funding will be used to expand the platform’s reach, enhance its features, and improve accessibility for residents and organizations seeking to meet needs in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.
“We are deeply grateful for Honda’s continued partnership,” said Kim Jones, President of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. “The Connector is a powerful tool for matching real needs in our community with people and organizations who are ready to help. With Honda’s support, we can strengthen these connections and create lasting impact where it’s needed most.”
The Connector is a centralized, online platform managed by the Community Foundation of West Georgia that streamlines how community needs are met. Individuals in need can complete a single, common application to request assistance for things like food, housing, utilities, transportation, and more.
Local nonprofits then receive these requests directly, enabling them to respond quickly and efficiently. By reducing duplication of services and fostering collaboration among agencies, The Connector ensures that needs are matched with the right resources, strengthening the community as a whole.
Honda’s commitment to supporting communities aligns closely with the Foundation’s mission to connect people, resources, and causes to improve quality of life in West Georgia.
