Tanner Health is proud to announce that it has been ranked No. 48 in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s (AJC) 2025 Top Large Workplaces list, a recognition based entirely on anonymous employee feedback.
Rankings are determined through confidential employee surveys conducted by Energage, a third party research and consulting firm. The survey measures 15 key drivers — including leadership, communication, employee engagement and overall workplace culture. Tanner received especially high scores on the survey and is one of 180 total organizations recognized, and the only large health system on this year’s list.
“This honor is especially meaningful because it comes from the people who know Tanner best — our team,” said Loy Howard, president and CEO of Tanner Health. “This recognition motivates us to keep growing, innovating and putting our people first because when our team thrives, so do our patients and communities.”
Tanner employs more than 5,000 team members across west Georgia and east Alabama, spanning five hospitals, more than 40 clinics and practice locations, wellness and fitness initiatives, senior living communities and more. The organization is known for its supportive, inclusive work environment, offering team members flexibility, purpose and meaningful opportunities to grow their careers across a wide range of roles and specialties.
The organization continues to earn accolades for its patient care and employee experience, reinforcing its reputation as one of the region’s leading healthcare employers.
