The Carroll County Community Theatre celebrates a milestone with its production of the classic comedy Boeing Boeing, at the Carrollton Center for the Arts, September 19 – 21.
“I’m honored to direct the CCCT’s one hundred fiftieth production, Boeing Boeing,” said the play’s director, Cindi Winstead. “The show is a witty, fast-paced comedy that takes place in the late 1960s. We have had a blast trying to recreate the feel of that era through costuming, set and music. This cast is so funny! They make us laugh every night.”
Originally a French play and later a 1965 film starring Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis, Boeing Boeing centers around bachelor Bernard and three flight attendants, all of whom believe they’re engaged to him. In the past, Bernard has been able to carry on these simultaneous relationships due to the attendants’ flight schedules, but the situation changes and all of the women end up at his apartment on the same day.
This production is sponsored by retired Delta flight attendant Alice Searcy.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youth and can be purchased online at carrolltonarts.com, by phone at 770-838-1083 or at the center’s box office at 251 Alabama Street.
