Central High School Sophomore Selected as College Board BigFuture Ambassador

Central High School sophomore Emanuel “Manny” Palax Ocampo has been selected by the College Board to serve as a BigFuture Ambassador.

BigFuture Ambassadors are high school students chosen nationwide to promote the BigFuture college planning platform to their peers. In this role, Manny will share resources through social media, presentations, and conversations with fellow students. He will also provide feedback to the College Board on the platform’s usefulness and may earn recognition and exclusive merchandise for his contributions.

BigFuture, a free planning tool created by the College Board—the organization behind the SAT and Advanced Placement (AP) Program—helps students explore colleges, careers, financial aid, and scholarships.

“BigFuture gives you so many resources, from building your college list, to exploring careers, to submitting the best college applications possible. It should be a staple for any student,” said Manny. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to help my peers plan for their future.”

In addition to this new leadership role, Manny is a vital member of the Leonine Yearbook staff and actively participates in numerous Central High School clubs and organizations.
