Bremen High School Celebrates Record-Breaking Graduation Rate and Academic Success

Bremen City Schools is proud to announce that Bremen High School’s Class of 2025 has achieved a 4-year cohort graduation rate of 99.5%, as reported by the Georgia Department of Education on September 29, 2025. This remarkable accomplishment represents the highest graduation rate for Bremen High School since Georgia transitioned from the federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) accountability model to the state’s College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). This milestone further positions Bremen among the top-performing high schools in Georgia.

“This accomplishment is a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work, and excellence displayed across every level of our school system,” said Shannon Christian, Superintendent of Bremen City Schools. “From Pre-K through 12th grade, our staff, students, and the Bremen community have come together to build a culture of achievement and support that continues to shine. This year’s graduation rate is truly historic—since Georgia adopted the CCRPI accountability model and the strict 4-year cohort graduation formula, no graduating class at Bremen High School has achieved a higher rate. This achievement underscores the remarkable consistency and commitment to excellence that define Bremen City Schools. It is truly a team effort, from our outstanding teachers and dedicated leaders to our incredible students and supportive families.”

The district attributes this outstanding result to a strong academic foundation, intentional student support, and an unwavering commitment to excellence from teachers, families, and the broader community.

In addition to this record-setting graduation rate, Bremen City Schools continues to excel academically. A September 30, 2025, DOE report revealed that Bremen ranks 11th in Georgia based on mean SAT scores, highlighting ongoing progress in college readiness and academic performance.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Tim Huff also expressed pride in the district’s success: “We are extremely proud of our students and staff for their continued excellence. With financial assistance from the Bremen Education Foundation, we implemented a new SAT preparation course during the 2024–2025 school year, which has already produced positive results, with increased student participation and measurable gains in performance. These results confirm what we already know—Bremen students are achieving at the highest levels.”

Bremen City Schools remains committed to fostering an environment of excellence, continuous improvement, and preparing students for success beyond high school.
