Wolves Red Fridays: UWG launches new tradition to celebrate campus spirit

The University of West Georgia has launched a new tradition to encourage all members of the Pack to showcase their school spirit by wearing red on Fridays.

Wolves Red Fridays is an initiative designed to be a collective expression of the institution’s pride, solidarity and commitment to community engagement.

“Wolves Red Fridays provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff and members of the larger UWG community to play a key role in building a tradition that strengthens our sense of connection both on- and off-campus,” said Dr. Michael Johnson, UWG’s president. “I look forward to joining everyone in wearing red on Fridays and demonstrating that we are all part of the Pack.”

Participate in this tradition on social media by taking a photo with other Wolves wearing red, using the #WolvesRedFridays hashtag and tagging the university’s InstagramFacebook and LinkedIn accounts. Be on the lookout for a Wolfie cutout around campus to pose with, as well.

Wolves Red Fridays joins a growing list of traditions new and old that define what it means to be a Wolf and what makes UWG a place to call home. Learn more about how you can participate in UWG’s newest tradition on this website
