After 14 years at the same location, Tony Brewer, a longtime State Farm agent in Carrollton, made a big move—both literally and strategically. The decision to relocate the agency came after years of watching the surrounding area become increasingly busy, even hazardous. “We actually had a couple of customers get into accidents just trying to leave the office,” Tony shared. That stretch along Highway 27 had simply become too hectic for the kind of welcoming, easy-access service he wanted to provide.
When the building they were renting changed hands and the new owner had different plans for the space, Tony saw it as the perfect time for a fresh start. And he already knew where he wanted to go: downtown Carrollton. “I’ve always wanted to be downtown,” he said. “The square is such a nice area. It’s great for my customers, and it’s great for my team.”

The new office, located at 306 Rome Street, is just a block off the square and conveniently nestled near local favorites like Downtown Gowns and Shuckers. The location offers plenty of parking, easy access for clients, and puts the team right in the middle of Carrollton’s vibrant downtown community. For Tony and his staff, the benefits are twofold: not only is the new space safer and more inviting for customers, but it also gives the team access to restaurants, events, and a more dynamic daily environment.
The office itself was nearly move-in ready when they found it. “It was pretty much perfect for us. We just had to do a little bit of work, a little painting and flooring, and we were good to go,” Tony explained. Since the move, the feedback from clients has been overwhelmingly positive. “Every time someone walks in, they say how much nicer it is compared to the old location,” he said. And it’s not just about looks—the layout includes private meeting rooms where customers can sit down with a team member, talk face-to-face, and go over their insurance needs in a comfortable, confidential setting.
Tony emphasizes that the focus of his agency is always on the customer—not just the price tags. “People call and ask for the cheapest insurance, but the cheapest price doesn’t always mean you’re properly covered,” he said. Every customer’s needs are different, and Tony and his team take pride in tailoring coverage to each individual. Whether it’s a college student with no assets or someone planning for retirement, his team designs policies that protect what matters most. “Liability insurance, for example, is really just asset protection.
Currently, the agency is growing and looking to expand the team, hiring two more staff members to meet increasing demand. “We’ve been lucky,” Tony said. “The good Lord has blessed us, and we’re growing.”
Tony Brewer has been with State Farm for over 14 years in Carrollton. Many locals might remember he was one of the first advertisers on The City Menus back when they were just starting out. “We talked about goals back then—like having an office in another part of town—and now we’ve achieved that,” he reflected.
So what sets Tony’s agency apart in a city with several State Farm offices and other insurance providers? For him, it comes down to personal connection. “You can get insurance anywhere, but if you want to work with us and let us help you the right way, we’re here. Just like in your business, people can go online and try to figure things out. But if they don’t have someone helping them do it right, they won’t get the same results. It’s the same with us—we want to sit down with you, make sure everything is done properly, and that you’re fully protected.”
