Central High School theater and drama earned 1st place in the Literary One Act play competition. This year’s One Act play was The Addams Family. The Addams Family is not your typical family: it takes delight in most of the things of which normal people would be terrified. Gomez Addams is an extremely wealthy man and is able to indulge his wife Morticia’s every desire, whether it’s cultivation of poisonous plants or a candlelit dinner in a graveyard.
Students will present The Addams Family in state competition on November 15. Ms. Ruthie Phillips is Central High School’s chorus teacher and coordinates musical and dramatic productions.
Cast members, Chase Goolsby, Benji Peppers and Tripp Byrd were named All Star Cast members and recognized for stellar performances during the competition.
