NOLA on Main: Bringing the Bayou Spirit to LaGrange

The following is a paid advertorial in partnership with Toast

Let the good times roll at NOLA on Main in LaGrange. This cozy and vibrant restaurant is bringing the bold, soulful spirit of New Orleans to West Georgia, one plate at a time. NOLA on Main is the brainchild of Josh Overkamp and Ryan Tibbetts, two friends with a deep passion for Cajun and Creole cuisine. When asked what they wished more people in the LaGrange area knew, Josh was quick to clear up a common myth: Cajun food doesn’t always mean spicy, it means flavorful. And that’s exactly what they’re serving up. Every dish is packed with depth, balance, and authenticity.

The recipes aren’t just inspired by Louisiana, they come straight from it. Ingredients like sausage and seafood are often sourced directly from Louisiana, adding another level of authenticity to the experience. The chicken and sausage gumbo is a standout, made with a dark, rich chocolate roux and traditional Andouille sausage. NOLA on Main also makes their own boudin in-house, rolling it into perfectly seasoned boudin balls. And then there’s the muffuletta, a New Orleans classic built with three kinds of cold cuts, provolone, and a house-made olive salad that’s aged for a week or more to bring out the depth of flavor. Ryan swears it rivals Central Grocery’s famous version in New Orleans, and many customers agree.

While the regular menu brings plenty to the table, NOLA on Main’s Sunday brunch has developed a loyal following. Dishes include the Crabby Benny, which features house-made crab cakes sitting on homemade buttermilk and lard biscuits, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise, and crispy bacon. One standout is the fish and grits – crispy catfish bites and goat cheese grits brought together with a rich Cajun sauce.

The team has been very proud with their ability to get hot food out to their guests in a timely manner. Ryan, who has decades of experience in the restaurant industry, gives a lot of credit to  Toast, their POS and reservation system. Toast Tables also helps them get guests seated quickly and they are very excited about utilizing the gift card system this holiday season.

Beyond the food and tech, the real soul of NOLA on Main is its people. From the bartenders to the servers, the team is warm, knowledgeable, and quick to make guests feel like part of the family. The decor, the vibe, and the people all work together to create something that feels just like the Big Easy. Ryan summed it up perfectly when he said, “It really gives you that New Orleans charm and feel, the spirit of ‘laissez les bon temps rouler’. Let the good times roll.”

So whether you’re in the mood for gumbo, brunch, or just a place to gather with good people and great food, NOLA on Main is the place to be. Stop by, bring a friend, and let the good times roll.
