Great news for Mexican food lovers, La Finca in Carrollton will be reopening soon! The company was originally started in 2015, and served the community from their Bankhead location until the original owner decided to retire and allow her son, Alexander Terrell, to continue the brand. Terrell, along with his business partner Rodney Hale, decided to take La Finca in a slightly new direction, by relocating and refreshing the image of the brand.
The new space, at the Birches on Maple Street, strays away from the traditional look of American-Mexican restaurants. The new contemporary design is inviting for families and those looking for a casual meal, while maintaining an elegance that is perfect for special occasions. The bar was also a priority while designing, as the company shifts to focus on offering a curated selection of premium tequilas.
The owners have decided to simplify their menu, focusing on quality rather than quantity. The latest menu will include new items such as al pastor tacos, tortas, and chipotle based pastas. La Finca will also offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 8:00 A.M.
Returning patrons can look forward to seeing many of their favorite dishes back on the menu. Both new and returning menu items will feature fresh, handmade tortillas and high-quality ingredients. Terrell stated, “My idea here is trying to give people the best product possible, in the most sanitized way possible, in the cleanest place possible.”
The owners expressed the appreciation they hold for LINCO, for leasing them the new space and seeing their vision of what La Finca can be. They are also thankful for the many individuals and groups who made their vision a reality, including architects, kitchen designers, artists, and branding partners. Terrell added, “a special thanks to my parents for believing in me and investing in me to continue the dream and see it through.”
They are currently looking for employees with experience in customer service. They will be receiving applications and hiring December 30 and 31, with orientation starting January 5. La Finca Mexican Kitchen and Tequilas is expecting to open sometime in mid-January.
