Bremen City Schools Hosts Annual System Spelling Bee

Bremen City Schools held its annual system-wide spelling bee on January 13, bringing together top student spellers from Bremen Academy and Bremen Middle School for a day of academic excellence and spirited competition.

The event, led by Bremen Middle School and Bremen Academy principal Mr. Brian Evans, highlighted the hard work and dedication of students from grades 4 through 8. After several challenging rounds, sixth grader Scout Rotger was named the 2026 Spelling Bee Champion. Scout is pictured alongside Bremen City Schools Superintendent Shannon Christian in one of the attached photos.

The spelling bee featured strong representation from both schools:

  • Bremen Academy Contestants (Grades 4–5):
    (Pictured L to R) Benjamin Le (4th grade), Jagger Veitch (5th grade), Caleb Demby (5th grade), and Haevyn Gipson (4th grade)
  • Bremen Middle School Contestants (Grades 6–8):
    (Pictured L to R) Vivian Warren (6th grade), Scout Rotger (6th grade), Emmett Strong (7th grade), Wyatt Ladd (7th grade), Sam Bradley (8th grade), and Emma Hall (8th grade)

Bremen City Schools congratulates all participants for their excellent performance and extends special recognition to Scout Rotger for this outstanding achievement.
