The Community Foundation of West Georgia has announced its 2026 grants calendar, outlining funding opportunities available to nonprofit organizations, schools, and community groups serving Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.
The Foundation’s annual grant programs support a wide range of needs, including, but not limited to, education, human services and the environment.

Art Enrichment Grants

Open to state-certified music and art teachers in public schools located in Carroll, Haralson, or Heard counties for grades Pre-K through 12.
Lurleen V. Holland Church Improvement Grants
March15–April1,2026
Provides funding for capital improvements to predominantly African American churches in Carroll County, Georgia.
Trinka Davis Grants
March15–April1,2026
Supports organizations providing direct services to veterans living in Carroll County, Georgia.
Community Impact Grants
June1–August1,2026
A competitive grant program open to organizations serving Carroll, Haralson, and
Heard counties. Grants are awarded in four focus areas: Arts & Culture, Education, the Environment, and Social Services.
AHR Grants
August15–September26, 2026
Supports initiatives in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties focused on early childhood development, the environment, and civic and community leadership. The AHR Fund will not make grants after the 2027 grant cycle.
Eligible organizations are encouraged to review grant guidelines and prepare applications in advance of each deadline. To help organizations prepare competitive applications, the Community Foundation of West Georgia will host a 2026 Grantwriter’s Workshop on Wednesday, February 4, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The workshop will be hosted via Zoom, and additional details will be shared on the Community Foundation of West
