Since 1997, the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club has served the West Georgia community with a strong commitment to the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.” The club meets weekly at Sunset Hills Country Club and brings together local leaders who are passionate about making a positive impact. Over the years, the Dawnbreakers have developed lasting partnerships throughout the region. These efforts include endowments at West Georgia Technical College, funding for the Carrollton Police K-9 Unit, and sponsorship of youth leadership programs such as Rotaract and Interact.
Casino Night is the club’s signature annual fundraiser. For 19 years, this event has welcomed more than 300 attendees for an evening of casino games, delicious food, and community spirit. Proceeds from the event support a variety of service projects, scholarships, and charitable contributions throughout the year. These include beautification projects at Pine Knoll, community pantry restocking, the Laws of Life essay program in local high schools, road cleanups, and assistance to families across West Georgia.
The 19th Annual Casino Night will take place on March 14, 2026, at Sunset Hills Country Club in Carrollton, Georgia. Attendees will enjoy professional casino tables featuring blackjack, poker, roulette, and craps. The event also includes gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres, premium cocktails, raffle prizes, a photo booth, and an evening of fun with friends and neighbors. Every dollar raised directly supports programs that benefit the West Georgia community.
Funds raised from Casino Night help power a wide range of local charities and service initiatives. These include Blake House, CASA, CCMHA, the Child Advocacy Center, Community Beautification projects, the Council on Aging, disaster relief programs, the FERST Foundation, Fraternal Order of Police Shop with a Cop, Heaven in Your Home, Law Enforcement Education and Appreciation, the Laws of Life Program, the Pantry Project of Carroll County, PASS, Pine Knoll, Read Across America Day, Recovery Spot of West Georgia, road cleanup projects, Interact, Rotaract, Starting in Style, Toys for Tots, veterans initiatives, and West Georgia Technical College.
