The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Fastenal at the Old Airport Road development site, highlighting continued growth in the area.
The project represents an estimated $90 million investment and will bring a new state-of-the-art distribution center to Carroll County. The facility will replace a legacy distribution center in the Atlanta metro area and is expected to support Fastenal branches and customers across the Southeast for decades. Company leaders anticipate the center will employ around 280 people.
Fastenal, which already operates a local sales branch in Carrollton, is expanding through a collaborative effort involving the City of Carrollton, Carroll Tomorrow, and the Carrollton Development Authority. Local officials have emphasized the project’s role in strengthening the economy, creating quality jobs, and supporting long-term development in the community.
The Chamber expressed appreciation for Fastenal’s continued investment and its commitment to growth through customer service and community engagement. Construction is expected to move forward in the coming months, adding momentum to development at the Old Airport Road site.
