The Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC), in partnership with Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC), will host a Home Medical Equipment Drive on May 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton.
This drive-through event, held in the church parking lot, offers community members a convenient opportunity to donate gently used medical equipment that can be refurbished and redistributed to individuals in need.
Please note this is a special event exclusively for residents of Carroll, Coweta, Heard, and Troup counties.
TRRC is encouraging donations of items such as wheelchairs, walkers and rollators, canes, shower chairs, bedside commodes, power chairs and scooters, and hospital beds.
These donations will directly support individuals and families who may not have the financial resources to purchase necessary medical equipment.
The Three Rivers Regional Commission serves a 10-county region in West Central Georgia, including Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Troup, and Upson counties. Through partnerships like this, TRRC continues its mission of improving quality of life by connecting residents to essential services and resources.
“This event is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a meaningful impact,” said Executive Director Mark Butler. “Donating unused medical equipment helps ensure that individuals in need have access to the tools necessary to live safely and independently.”
The event will be conducted as a parking lot drive-through, allowing donors to drop off items quickly and safely without leaving their vehicles.
