A new furniture retailer could soon be coming to Douglasville.
Plans recently surfaced for a Bob’s Discount Furniture location at 2842 Chapel Hill Road, the former Big Lots space in Douglasville. According to construction bidding documents, the project would involve renovations to the approximately 29,435-square-foot retail space.
Bob’s Discount Furniture is a national retail chain known for affordable furniture, mattresses and home décor. Founded in 1991, the company has grown to hundreds of locations across the United States and is recognized for offering budget-friendly living room, bedroom, dining room and office furniture.
While Douglasville sits just outside The City Menus’ primary pinpointed coverage area, we wanted to share the news since this shopping center is one we covered frequently in the early days of The City Menus.
The documents list the project as currently in the bidding phase, with renovations expected to begin later this year. An official opening timeline has not yet been announced.
