West Georgia Technical College officially celebrated the opening of its new Stanley H. Bressner Industrial Technology Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held May 21 at the Murphy Campus.
The new facility is named in honor of the late Stanley H. Bressner following a $1 million donation from the Bressner family. College leaders say the gift will help continue Bressner’s legacy of innovation, education and community service across West Georgia.
The building will house WGTC’s Commercial Truck Driving, Electrical Lineworker and Welding programs. Features include a 40-booth welding lab with state-of-the-art equipment, classrooms, community gathering space and a brand new CDL driving range.
College officials say the new building will help expand workforce training opportunities while supporting economic growth and skilled trades education throughout the region.
