A new Aerie store is planned for The Avenue Peachtree City, with bidding now underway for renovations to the future retail space as the popular lifestyle brand prepares to open in the coming months.
According to construction bidding information, the new store will be located at 222 City Circle in Peachtree City and will take over the former Jos. A. Bank storefront at The Avenue. The project includes renovations to the nearly 4,900-square-foot retail space following the recent securing of the lease.
Aerie is the lifestyle and intimates brand owned by American Eagle Outfitters and is known for its women’s apparel, activewear, loungewear, swimwear, and wellness-focused products. The brand has gained national popularity for its comfortable styles and body positivity-focused marketing campaigns, including its well-known “AerieREAL” initiative that promotes unretouched advertising imagery and inclusivity.
The addition of Aerie would bring another nationally recognized retailer to The Avenue Peachtree City’s growing lineup of fashion and lifestyle brands.
While the former Jos. A. Bank location is being redeveloped for Aerie, the menswear retailer is expected to reopen elsewhere in Peachtree City later this year. It has previously been reported that Jos. A. Bank is planning a move to Kedron Village, though an official reopening timeline and exact location have not yet been confirmed.
Construction timelines listed in the project documents indicate work on the future Aerie location is expected to continue into the fall as the store moves toward opening.
