Joe Schulman, District 6 Communications Officer for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), says, “In regards to the road construction taking place at the intersection of Tabernacle Dr and Ben Scott Blvd off GA-166, the Carrollton Bypass, we are modifying the turn lanes and extending them to increase the queue size. We’re also upgrading the traffic signal.”
The accompanying image is an older photo looking west from U.S. 27 at the Tabernacle Drive/Ben Scott Boulevard intersection. A current photo of the work area was not available because it was unsafe to stop and take one due to traffic conditions.
