Carrollton Upper Elementary School and Carrollton Middle School are proud to be honored as a 2025-2026 National Beta Schools of Merit, following a successful year of increased involvement and celebrated performances on a national stage.
With strong teacher support and student engagement, CUES and CMS earned this recognition by increasing club membership 15% in the last year.
This summer, at the national competition, CMS Beta students shined, earning three top-ten finishes. Konsih Pisoh placed 6th in 7th Grade Math, the Musicology team of Gabe Forero, Hunter Chen, Konsih Pisoh, and Janie Savoie placed 5th, and Hunter Chen earned 3rd place in 7th Grade Social Studies in the nation.
“It is an exciting time to see the growth of the National Beta program at CCS,” said Holly Lane, CMS teacher and club sponsor. “The CUES club has allowed students the opportunity to learn more about Beta before entering middle school. Across the board, students are eager to contribute to our school and community projects, and they work hard to represent the Trojan Nation well, as they did this summer at the national competition.”
The school-level organizations thrive with support from teacher sponsors, including Stephanie McDowell, Ashley Patterson, Annabelle Lambert, and Emily Dial (Carrollton Upper Elementary); and Holly Lane, Bryant Hand, Sara Sales, and Amby Shoemake (Carrollton Middle).
