Nihar Jani, MD, an experienced nephrologist, has joined Carroll County Nephrology, expanding access to specialized kidney care for patients in west Georgia.
Dr. Jani is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He provides care for patients with kidney disease and related conditions in outpatient, inpatient and dialysis settings.
Dr. Jani earned his medical degree from Medical College Baroda in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York, and his fellowship in nephrology at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Before joining Carroll County Nephrology, Dr. Jani practiced with North Florida Nephrology Associates in Tallahassee, Florida, where he cared for patients in inpatient and outpatient dialysis settings and served as medical director of a dialysis unit. He also has experience managing critically ill patients who need continuous renal replacement therapy and caring for patients receiving plasmapheresis therapy.
Dr. Jani is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology. He and his wife, Shruti Dave, MD, a hospitalist at Tanner Health, live in Carrollton. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and playing tennis.
