A new indoor entertainment destination appears to be headed to the former JOANN Fabrics location, bringing a fresh use to the vacant retail space.
According to a shopping center leasing map, Pokiddo, an indoor adventure and family entertainment concept, is slated to occupy the former JOANN storefront. The space still bears the faded outline of the JOANN sign, with a leasing notice posted near the entrance.
Pokiddo offers indoor entertainment geared toward children, teens, and families, with attractions that can vary by location. The concept focuses on active play, recreation, and group experiences, providing an alternative to traditional retail shopping.
The company already has a presence in metro Atlanta, including a location in Duluth. Its Atlanta-area location webpage provides additional information about the brand’s regional plans.
The proposed arrival shows a big change for the former JOANN space. Rather than another traditional retailer, the property could welcome a family-oriented entertainment venue that encourages visitors to spend more time at the shopping center.
The transition would also give the former arts and crafts store a new purpose following JOANN’s closure a long time ago.
While the leasing map identifies Pokiddo as the incoming tenant, an official opening date, construction timeline, and final attraction lineup have not yet been confirmed. More details are expected as plans move forward.
