Author Joel Nelson to speak on his new book, Kennedy’s Only Hero

Author Joel Nelson will speak about his new book, Kennedy’s Only Hero at 2:00pm at the Newnan Carnegie Library.

The Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation is proud to welcome Joel Nelson, British writer and historian, to discuss his book, Kennedy’s Only Hero. Winston Churchill is one of the most scrutinized figures of the modern age, and yet the extraordinary hold he had over John F. Kennedy is little known. Drawing on previously unpublished archival material, Kennedy’s Only Hero tells the story of how Churchill’s career, writings, policies, and even daily habits profoundly shaped the future President.

Books will be available for purchase by Bookmiser. The book talk will be followed by a book signing.

This program is free, but registration is required on Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1999530763339

“We are looking forward to having Joel Nelson be a part of the Edgar B. Hollis Distinguished Author Series,” says Carnegie Director, Susan Crutchfield. “We think his book talk will be of great interest to our community!”
