Interior renovations are currently underway for Otter’s Chicken located in Hudson Mill at 202 Bradley Street, Carrollton, Georgia. The restaurant will reopen with new ownership, management, and perspective. Plus, a new walk-up, pick-up window will be added to the front of the restaurant facing The Amp.
The new owners Rosalyn-Sue Smith and Mark Jones tell us they plan to reopen the restaurant soon.
Mark brings more than 25 years of restaurant experience after managing fine dining and fast casual restaurants. In addition, he previously held ownership of a Firehouse Subs franchise and was a managing partner of 99 Restaurants in Boston, Massachusseuts.
Rosalyn-Sue is a passionate, driven individual who has founded and operated a non-profit for close to 20 years. The organization benefits service members, veterans, and their families at home and abroad. “I love people and want to make them feel at home. I love tradition and want to infuse tradition into this restaurant. I grew up with a southern grandmother and mama, and it’s important to me to share the southern hospitality that they instilled in me. I am grateful to be in a position in my life to spend time serving and investing in the community of Carrollton,” said Rosalyn-Sue.
Mark shares, “We want to feed people a meal that they will enjoy in a timely manner. Our goal is to provide quick service when needed and allow people to congregate over food and build community when they are not in a hurry.”
Rosalyn-Sue concludes, “We have big plans for the restaurant over the course of a few phases which will include the offering of a weekend brunch, revitalization of the back porch, and eventually a variety of workshops and events.”
