Business Growth at South Park Health and Wellness Center

In 2014 West Georgia Shopping Center started a re-development of the existing retail center into the Health and Wellness Center. It boasts primary medical and wellness-oriented businesses with a close proximity to Tanner Medical Center. One of the original mainstays, Grand Buffet that lasted a few years after the conversion of the shopping center is finally being redeveloped. Formerly this space housed Loco’s which was a sandwich and wings restaurant. Grand Buffet closed in 2016. Interior construction began a few weeks ago to make room for Wise Cracks Chiropractic who has outgrown their current space a few doors down.

“We don’t have a specific opening date yet, but we should be in by the end of the year. We’ll probably have a soft opening before Christmas and then a grand re-opening right after the first of the year,” says Kevin Swatek, owner of Wise Cracks Chiropractic. He also wanted to share thanks to the community for supporting their small business and trusting him for spinal care during the past six years.

Almost directly next door to the new Wise Cracks location is Good Neighbor Meals to Go, who are in the final stages of opening their new Carrollton location. Good Neighbor Carrollton will be right on par with the mission of South Park Health and Wellness Center. The business will offer a variety of healthy meal options for clean eating, including Whole30, Paleo, and Gluten Free options. Marketing Director Whitney Berry says, “We work to source quality food products for our meals to offer our customers both healthy and comfort food options. Good Neighbor Carrollton will carry our very popular seller, “Olipop” which is a prebiotic drink packed with benefits for optimal gut health and not lacking in taste.”

Good Neighbor takes the hassle of deciding “what’s for dinner” off your mind and takes care of  everything! Whitney adds, “We understand that everyone is busy, and by taking care of the cooking, we hope to simplify meals and bring families back to the table together.” Good Neighbor offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Feel free to call ahead and reserve your meal during the day to have it waiting on you for pickup later. They are also offering pre-order meals for select holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Specifically both Good Neighbor and Wisecracks would like to thank the group at Linco Properties who have been instrumental in getting their spaces ready. A new commercial kitchen and retail space were added to Good Neighbors’ upcoming location. Both businesses look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the west Georgia community and are grateful for the outpouring of support already received. Keep watching The City Menus for opening updates!
