The Carrollton Center for the Arts presents From This Mad Passion, a collection of works by mixed-media artist Sarah Swanson, January 4 – February 12.
“Sarah’s skill at beautifully capturing the human figure shines through in the pieces on display,” said Carrollton Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “ The added surreal elements of her work create a fantastical and mysterious atmosphere in each piece that I find fascinating.”
The title of this show comes from Michelangelo’s description of his own maniacal devotion to his art. Swanson relates to art being an obsessive passion. This exhibition features drawings and mixed media works Swanson hopes moves people’s minds using simple lines coming together.

There will be an exhibition reception at the center, January 11, 5 – 7 pm.
