From the Lone Star State to Carrollton – by way of Nashville – Little Texas brings its rocking country to the Amp, June 15.
After playing together in various lineups in Arlington, Texas, founding band members Tim Rushlow and Dwayne O’Brien moved to Nashville where they formed Little Texas in 1988. Little Texas released its debut album, First Time for Everything, on Warner Bros. Records Nashville in 1991. The album’s lead off single, Some Guys Have All the Love, hit number eight on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks charts. The band’s long list of hits includes My Love, Some Guys Have All the Love, You and Forever and Me and perhaps the group’s signature tune, God Blessed Texas. Little Texas has produced 12 Top 20 singles (with seven Top 10s and three number ones) and received multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM nominations, winning the ACM for Top Vocal Group of 1994.
Little Texas has often played more than 300 shows a year to packed venues across the United States and Canada, earning them the moniker “Hardest Working Band in Country Music.” The group’s southern rock influenced country sound features intricately stacked harmonies, reminiscent of the vocal style of the Eagles, and distinctive slide guitar.
The show starts at 8pm with Nashville singer-songwriter Jordan Fletcher.
This concert is sponsored by Scott Evans Nissan and Scott Evans Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram.
All events at the Amp are free. Chairs can be put out at the Amp on the day of the show. No professional photography is allowed during shows at the Amp. Please visit carrolltonga.com/amp for updates, venue guidelines and policies.
