Flicker + Flame Expands into Iconic Downtown Bowdon Building: A New Chapter Begins

What started as a spark of passion has officially ignited into something much bigger—literally. Flicker + Flame, the beloved local candle and home fragrance brand, is making a major move into a new 7,500-square-foot space in the heart of downtown Bowdon. And it’s not just any space—it’s the historic former SunTrust building.

After months of searching and years of dreaming, Flicker + Flame founder Sadie Young is celebrating a major milestone along with her team: holding the keys to the brand’s new warehouse and headquarters. It’s a space more than four times the size of their previous location, and a true answer to prayer.

“For about a year, we’ve felt maxed out in our current space,” Sadie shared on a Facebook post. “We were tripping over boxes, squeezing past one another, and having to limit our inventory, product line, and even retailer partnerships—simply because we didn’t have the room.”

The journey to expansion wasn’t without its challenges. The team explored nearly every warehouse in the county, but nothing seemed to align—until the perfect spot opened up just a few doors down from their original location. The full-circle moment felt “like the Lord heard our prayers and opened the doors,” Sadie shares.

Now, moving from 1,700 to 7,500 square feet, Flicker + Flame is ready to scale. The new space will allow the company to expand its product offerings, streamline operations, and welcome more retail partners into the F + F family. Perhaps most importantly, it creates space to dream bigger and breathe easier.

With this move, the historic SunTrust building finds new life as a hub of creativity, community, and purpose. Flicker + Flame is not just filling a building—they’re reigniting the spirit of local entrepreneurship in Bowdon.

“Buckle up… we’re just getting started!” she added with a smile.

As the doors open to this new chapter, one thing is clear: Flicker + Flame’s light is burning brighter than ever—and it’s only going to shine farther from here.
